Aroma in the Night

This actually happened on 4 October 2015. I will just cut and paste my messages to Brother Ong:

I think I smelled something supernatural last night when I was sleeping. I smelled a very nice sweet aroma, which is impossible because all my windows and door were closed. And the smell wafted from right to left just in front of me.

I actually woke up and the smell was really there. And it got broken down to 2 components for my senses to digest - fresh apples and some flower. It was maybe 5 plus am. I went back to sleep after deciding it is impossible for the smell to be there.

The emotion I had at that time - relaxed and peaceful, nothing drastic. Then I proceeded to dream that I had to tell ppl about it but my mum, in the dream, interrupted me with her own night story of her hand being zapped by electricity. She has been having persistent shoulder pains in real life and in the dream, I tried to cast out a difficult spirit dwelling there

Dream Diary

Last night I dreamt that my cousin Gavyn was immensely sick and at the brink of death. He had an open wound on his face and I heard the word septic.

My grandaunt Peggy recalled the story of how his younger brother just recently died of a tragic accident. The top quarter of his head had been accidentally sawn off by an electric saw.

Tragedy/tragic was what I felt over this family.

I woke up from the dream. My next dream was all about extreme sports - those kind which can get you killed.

My first thought is that the second dream could be an indication of the cause of him lying on his death bed.

Update: interestingly, it is his birthday today.

A Letter to Abigail #1

Dear Abigail,

You probably won't remember much of your babyhood and toddlerhood by the time you are able to read this. It is such a shame that nature is such because we, as a family, had such a smashing time together. So, mummy is using this platform to fill in those gaps for you.

Last night was the first night ever you verbalised your preference for daddy over mummy to accompany you to sleep. It's probably understandable since mummy has been too tired and immobile to play with you for long periods of time as of late owing to mummy's growing bump. But we do spend time together reading nursery rhymes, playing make believe - specifically washing Baby Bob's and BJ's bum bum after they poo-poo and even give you a swing or two to Sound of Music's "I am 16 going on 7-8" (haha). Pretty much activities that do not require mummy to move around too much.

You are only 2 years and 1 month old now but have such wisdom. We really thank God for that. Whenever we ask you to choose between mummy and daddy, you would always lump us as one and say "I love mummy daddy". How in the world did you know that there is in fact a third choice? And to astound us further, you would just suddenly proclaim that you "love Jesus!" out of nowhere. We sure didn't teach you that (but maybe mah mah and yeh yeh did).

You know, I fear for that one day when you finally decide you prefer one over the other. And it will come. Yesterday's event already points to that.

By the time you understand this letter, I am not sure how our relationship will turn out and whether you love me as much as I hope you do. But know this, that mummy loves you more than you can ever comprehend. You will forever be my baby, my miracle... I love you with all that I have.

Becoming Her Own Self

Once upon a time not very long ago I worried there wasn't enough place in my heart for my second baby.

Once upon a time not very long ago I worried I will never be able to let go of my first born's hand.

Today however, after celebrating her 2nd birthday, I see those worries as of the past.

She is no longer the baby who needs to be attached to her mummy's side - she is now her own person, with the ability to voice her likes and dislikes. I can see her independent spirit taking more and more form as each day passes by.

But most importantly, I can now let go of her hand, for her to become the individual that God has called her to be. It came earlier than expected, but I believe it is the right time - just as I am expecting to hold my second baby in two months' time.

Gosh, how amazing is His timing, right?

Tears fill my eyes as I type, knowing that my baby is not really a baby anymore. But in my eyes, I will always be ready to baby her whenever she needs me to.

Daddy God, thank you for such a beautiful gift. She has brought so much joy to me and Mark. She is perfect in every way.

I pray that you will bless her with good health all her life. That You will direct all her paths and make them straight. That she will be highly favoured in all that she does and with all she comes in contact with. Bless her Lord, with spiritual sensitivity and openness. That she may rise to her calling even from a young age.

Bless her Lord with Your joy, peace and grace and may she know how to overflow them to those around her. Let her be kind, good, gentle, meek, long suffering, slow to anger, compassionate and quick to praise. Let her be a positive impact on others.

Lord, also protect her from dangers and the schemes of the evil one. Let Your wings be a shield around her at all times.

Thank you again, Lord for such a precious daughter.

My #2 (Part 1)

I am now almost 24 weeks pregnant with baby #2 and she's daughter #2 for me. She is growing extremely well (Dr Chan did not say more than a one liner about my 3kg increase in weight, phew!) and is happily stretching and kicking within me vigorously. I'm slowly falling deeper in love with her.

"Where is the boy?", one may ask since I was so confident of the prophecies I had received. Well, this is why I am here on this blog today - to journal my initial struggle and confusion due to this divide between reality and prophecy.

Even after three times being told by my Gynae that I will be having a girl, I was still hoping the next ultrasound would show something different. Not because I wanted to have a son but because I wanted the assurance that ALL my children are in my future.

So, if the prophecies are indeed accurate, what happens to one of my girls?

I sought out Jenn to speak to the Lord and each time she saw Abby and a boy. She could not see anyone else.

Okay, it is about here that I should pause and make mention that whatever I have done up to that point was wrong:
1) I sought after fortune telling more than anything else.
2) There was no active participation in my part to communicate with Go. I merely thrusted this responsibility to Jenn.
3) I went around person to person looking for an alternative interpretation (that would be acceptable to me) of the prophecies

Kathy pointed out something I knew deep down inside but wouldn't openly acknowledge - I didn't dare to approach God about this fear of mine. I didn't dare to bring it to God for fear that he would tell me my fears would come to pass.

To be continued...

Dream: Locust Invasion

21 July 2015
I dreamt of a locust invasion that night. The dream started with me being an unfamiliar house with my grandmother. After being aware of the setting, I realised that the house was already infested with some type of brown insect. My eyes zoomed in to one that was nearest to me and saw a praying mantis. I instinctively looked out of the windows and saw that locusts had swarmed the outside. Their number was so large that they almost blackened out the light.

I immediately ran to one of the windows and pushed it back. It was, weirdly, elastic and was bending to the sheer force of the number of locusts trying to get into the house.

Notes:
My mind was preoccupied with
1) the passing away of Ps Eugene's 10-week old granddaughter

2) fear of prophecy - Mary and Jenn had both prophesied a daughter and a son in my future but I am now pregnant with my second daughter. Does this mean I would lose one of them?

Questions:
1) is the presence of my grandmother significant? I don't sense so.

2) what does the praying mantis symbolise? A religious people?

3) what has caused this wrath of God?

4) can such a calamity be avoided?

I have no doubt that this dream is God-inspired. When I was on the train and at work, I googled for instances of locusts in the bible and specifically remembered that they were mentioned in the book of Amos.

Now, because of the nausea I was experiencing in my first trimester, I haven't been reading the bible. Finally being out of the woods and the first time in a long time taking the train to work, I decided to restart my bible in one year reading. Lo and behold, Amos 8 and 9 were referenced in that day's devotional. And Amos 7, which contains the word locusts, was referenced the day before! Hence I am confident the dream is given by God.

Amos 7:1-3 "This is what the Sovereign Lord showed me: He was preparing swarms of locusts after the king’s share had been harvested and just as the late crops were coming up. When they had stripped the land clean, I cried out, “Sovereign Lord, forgive! How can Jacob survive? He is so small! So the Lord relented. “This will not happen,” the Lord said.”"
So maybe my dream can be avoided if I prayed.

My Second Promise (Part 2)

The prophecies given to me about my second child is coming to past!

This is the 4th pregnancy test kit I used. The first three (Guardian house brand), only showed a positive line some time after the 10 minutes timeframe stipulated.

Couldn't take it anymore so went to buy the expensive ClearBlue test kit and within half a minute the '+' sign showed up!

It still feels so surreal... For the first time in so many months, I'm finally seeing something I have been yearning for. I feel like I should pinch myself. Haha... I won't of course, but I do keep looking at the ClearBlue picture to make sure I'm not hallucinating!

Thank you Lord, for the wonderful gift of being able to be a mother of two.

Robbed of Joy

Why do I have to work harder than everyone else to get to the same place? Why, God? Why?

I often think of this one particular girl I knew from high school whenever I sulk about life. She's effortlessly popular. I stress the word because she can pull a grumpy face, which was pretty often, and there would still be people wanting to swarm her. She was privileged, glorious, smart and came from a close-knit family - all enviable points.

Many years back, I showed my pastor a picture of her and I could see his hesitation in telling me what he saw. Of course he was just trying to be kind to my flagging self-esteem. I forced it out of him anyway. Avoiding my eye contact, he quickly made the statement that she glows with the "joy of the Lord".

The joy of the Lord... Oh, how I have yearned it and even forced myself to find it within me. There were a few fleeting moments when I truly believed I had it. Those moments never lasted. Nor were they ever enough; never like hers. So, conclusion? I never had it.

Last night, tired with having dealt with yet another of my life's dissatisfaction which consequently resulted in a big argument with my husband, I asked for prayer from Pastor Lee, a 68 year old Korean lady pastor who is known to be razor-sharp in hearing God. I told her of how I struggle with no joy in my heart - nothing is ever enough; nothing is ever good enough. (This was after having helped out in a Thai  retreat held in Church of True Light, where she was invited to speak.)

I was instructed to lay flat on the ground while she laid hands on my chest and stomach. Here's a summary of what she said:
1) unseen forces suppressing peace, thereby robbing me of God's joy
2) source of spiritual curse from parents/ancestors
3) hardened/residing in stomach and thigh areas for an extremely long time
4) this is stopping me from weeping and interceding
5) the cause of my fears and anxieties, manifested in stiffness in legs and heart palpitations
6) not many people are interceding on my behalf

With all the above, I was told I carry a great burden to cut off all ancestral curses; to make sure they end at me. Strategies to overcome this:
1) only the blood of Jesus can cut the curse
2) pray together with husband
3) continually seek out prayer and deliverance
4) catch them whenever they appear and cast them out each time (best to manifest the purging)
5) worship
6) pray, sing and read God's word with Abby (ensuring that it ends at my generation)

Mark has committed himself to praying with me. I may not tell him enough but he is my spiritual pillar of support. He never doubts, never questions, never stops trusting God. It's an amazing heritage he's received from his parents. And I want Abby to have that.

I end today's post with a proclamation of God's promise from Exodus 20:6:

"But showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments."

Amen.

Dreams about KYY and Zac During CNY Week

Jotting down two dreams I had during my CNY break (14-24 Feb 2015):

Dream 1:
Zachary Adrian running over a green plain and the earth opened up to swallow him whole three times. Each time I see him running without a care about the dangers around him. There was a short instance I saw him holding on to a small figurine, perhaps the source of these threats.

I conveyed this to Adrian and he shared that Stella also had a similar dream where Zac was running with no showing of any specific emotion. As he ran pass a church, it collapsed and buried him, leaving only an outstretched hand from the rubbles. Stella who was behind him, survived the catastrophe.

Dream 2:
I don't quite remember the details but I know it is about Yin Yee and suicide.

My Second Promise

Having Abby has changed my life - I no longer get 10 hour sleeps and definitely no sleep ins. Naps are a luxury and date nights are a rarity. Meals are usually hurried and gone are the days meeting up with friends and what more holidays!

But I would not change a thing.

Abby is the joy and pride of my life. She tires me out but boy, does she make my life so much fuller!

Sometimes I wonder whether I can love someone else as much as I love her and God stops me midway. Love doesn't have to be shared. You can love another person wholeheartedly as well.

I believe and hold on firmly to the prophecies by Mary Chu and Jenn that my family will comprise of two children. And this prophecy will only be fulfilled with the arrival of a baby boy. Yup, it will be a boy next!

Mark and I have been trying since June last year but no success yet. To be honest, I have uttered a few inner vows - that I am not ready for and I may not need a second child. Victoria, through God's revelation, called me out on this in December. I have of course proceeded to  ask God for forgiveness and repented. And God has graciously reminded me of His promise through a dream received before CNY. In the dream, I was pregnant and the baby within me was actively stretching. I even saw my hand holding his hand somehow.

To be honest, there is still some trepidation over having to repeat the sleepless nights in the early months of motherhood and even the 100% of self-immersion into the development of the baby thereafter, I will have to put my trust that God's timing will be perfect and that He will enable me to become the best mother I can be to my second baby.

My Big Little Girl

My daughter turned 16 months last week and is getting ready to attend playgroup in two months. Visiting various playschools last Tues has made me too acutely aware that she is growing up.

Her dad, grandmother and myself have been the centre of her world so far but in a few months' time it would be opened up to... well, the world...

I have been plagued with a whirlwind of emotions. For one, I am so irrationally fearful that the world would dilute her love for me. Secondly, never being popular in school, I worry that she may have to go through the same lonely path as I did. But at the same time, I am excited for her to start making her mark in this world.

I can only pray that God will bless her with abundant favour, that she will be secure in His and our love and that her spirit will never be dampened by people.

This big little girl will always be my baby...

Prophetic Dream - AirAsia 8501

I had a dream about a plane stalling mid flight and eventually plummeting.

I was a passenger myself in the plane. One minute everything was fine with people chit-chatting away and the next, the lights went out and the plane just stopped. Dead silence ensued.

Within the next second or two, the plane plummeted - vertically downwards. I felt my heart trying to leap out of my throat; panic in my head knowing impending death was about to follow.

But before I knew it, the plane came into contact with water. I knew because I felt the hard albeit cushioned landing and heard water splashing. I remember feeling relieved that my life was spared and that one could survive such a crash before waking up.

I had this dream either on the 20th or 21st of Dec 2014. It was either dates because I had that dream while visiting my in-laws in KL for Christmas.

I didn't tell anyone although the feeling of real fear and relief lingered; I just didn't think it was significant. But on 28th Dec, Mark announced that an AirAsia flight 8501 flying from Surabaya to Singapore had gone missing. I had thought it was a bad joke but unfortunately it wasn't. I didn't immediately link it with the dream I had either.

162 passengers and crew members went missing, with the plane found only on 2nd Jan 2015. Over a hundred bodies remain missing today.

Pastor Ong told me that 46 of those perished came from Philip Mantofa's church. He doesn't know why I was the one who received this warning or how I am spiritually tied to this tragedy but I ought to have prayed about over it.

Speaking to Pastor made me wonder whether my praying would have made any difference but I am thinking there might have been a glimmer of hope because the dream did end positively, perhaps suggesting that there could have been an alternative ending.

My Angelic Encounters Series (Part 1)

My First Angelic Encounter

My first angelic encounter was in a Holy Spirit-inspired dream. How did I know it was God-inspired? Because the content was something I hadn’t been exposed to yet at the time and because it was something grounded in the Word, it couldn’t have come from my soul.

It happened in 2003 when I was still in university and when I was still a baby Christian. Since it happened so long ago, details are a little fuzzy to me. So please bear with me; I will try to recall to the best of my ability.

In the dream, a slightly dark-skinned woman in a white full bodysuit appeared. She had me go through a few stages (maybe 2-3) of testing. I don’t remember the specifics of the first few tests but they definitely involved the supernatural. Although she never once uttered a single word, she was always within eyesight.

In my last testing, I can recall running away from dark forces. I shouted out for her to come help me but she just stood where she was, seemingly unmoved by my plea. I gave up soon after and began praying to God for help. As soon as I called out to God, she zoomed to my rescue.

I replayed this entire dream to my pastor who told me that the woman was an angel. I argued that she did nothing to help me, only to be told that angels don’t react to our demands or orders; they only respond solely to God’s voice and God’s will. Angels are God’s obedient miracle workers who perform God’s miracles for us all for the purpose of bringing God glory. So what happened was, God, upon hearing my prayer instructed the angel to come to my aid.

Having been a non-believer most of my life, I had the wrong impression (influenced by new-age beliefs) that as we worship angels, they respond to our requests. Calling out to the angel in the dream meant that I was completely relying on her to save me, and not God; I had taken God out of the picture! It was meant to teach me that I should only be reliant on God.

I think it was such a cool dream-lesson, don't you?!

My Job Insecurity... Made Calm

Many people have the misconception that a bank treasury is the place to be; it’s prestigious and money is good. You don’t know how I wish I had somewhere else to be. I suppose the grass is always greener on the other side, eh?

In the past five years, I have seen a number of colleagues getting the boot and heard of even more such cases outside my bank. These days, I’m hearing pays are getting cut. Whilst I am thankful to God I still have my job, I long so deeply to be doing something else.

My head of sales and I just came out from a dressing down by our treasurer. Not because we didn’t bring in money last year, in fact, it was a good year, but because we weren’t “visible” enough visiting clients. There is definitely an impending danger that our sales desk might be closed down by the end of the year. In the meanwhile, I have to bring my A-game and start shadowing corporate banking just in case I might need to be transferred.

My job is so specialised that it is difficult to find another line of work. I have tried looking out for other opportunities for the past four years but to no avail. It’s either I do not have the proper set of skills or they cannot match my required compensation package. Having a distinction in MBA from a good school couldn’t get me anywhere else either.

Middle management is really the worst place to be – you’re too senior to take a junior position and you’re too junior to take a senior position. Even if I am okay to take a pay cut or to start in a more junior position, no one dares to take up my offer. They think I’ll just make them a temporary stop in my career.

I was so demoralised after the talk. Every beginning of the year I get this talk; it’s a lot more intense in the past two years. That’s why I never like the new year. And I had already sensed this foreboding doom since last November.

In the past, I would have hailed accusatory questions at God. “Why?”, “Why am I so unlucky in my career?”, “Do you not love me?” But today, I feel a sense of calm, that God is in charge of my life; that I can draw strength, strategy, favour and wisdom from Him; that He has my back.

My first reaction was to run to people for comfort and encouragement. My mind was so clouded with anxiety and frustration that I’d rather ask my fellow brothers and sisters to do the work of tuning in to what God has to say to me. But God reminded me of a testimony I had just read before being called into the room – this woman shared that when her son laid brain dead in the hospital, she ran to people for comfort rather than running to God and God had to remind her that Jesus is there for her. So, I did the only thing I knew best when communicating with God – I prophesied over myself, speaking God’s words over my situation.

In my own prophecy, I could feel that God shared in my sorrows but He reminded me that I am made of tough stuff, and that I am stronger and more talented than I think I am. He told me that He has blessed my hands with glory dust and because He has blessed them, whatever I do shall prosper. But I still have to put in that hard work. I do feel a sense of peace in the midst of the storm that I can still see. I feel like I am being engulfed by His calm by force. I say by force because in my natural self, I somehow like to dwell in negativity longer than necessary. So yes, I think God is forcing His peace on me and I am thankful for that.

All I can do now is pray that God will lead me through this situation; that His hand will be upon my career. If I am to leave this job, I pray that He will open up the correct doors for me but if I am to stay, I really pray for patience and favour. A lot of favour…..

May Your will be done, My Lord.

Bringing My Goliaths to God

Before David could fully step into his kingship over Israel, he had to first face Goliath. Now, he had already been anointed by Samuel at that time, but before he could step foot into his destiny and into the next level of authority, he had to face Goliath.

This applies to us today as well. Before we can move into the next level God has called us to, we will have to first face our Goliaths and take them down. Those goliaths in our life will inevitably try to intimidate us, limit and constrain us from possessing what is ours in God. We will have to win the war to move forward.

Matt Sorger aptly says in his blog:

Those that will move to a higher realm of authority need to understand that a sustainable anointing and mantle is not possible without testing and trial. Anointing without testing is not sustainable. God doesn’t want to just give us a temporary anointing or a monetary breakthrough. He wants us to be able to sustain it. The sustainability factor is crucial in this hour. We must contend for increase and sustain it.

Before promotion, you must walk through a place of contention. You must contend with your giant and gain victory over it before the anointing is released to manifest in a greater measure of authority. God anointed what was tested in David’s life.

Promotion will come out of your testings and battles. Smaller battles will make you skilful in winning larger battles. Get happy! Because the areas of your greatest testings are about to become the areas of your greatest anointing!

My goliaths in life are pride and self-righteousness. Of course, if you have read previous posts you would know I have an issue with pride. But God convicted me of my self-righteousness just last week. I know they aren’t very different but aren’t the same either.

So, I was at a prophetic workshop over the weekend, hosted by my church, and during a session where we had to carry out prophetic acts to remove the giants hindering us from moving forward into our God-intended destinies, God instructed me to place them at his mouth.

If you look at the picture below, you will see a prophetic banner of the Lion of Judah (prophetic banners have different purposes and significance – some are used for spiritual warfare, some for healing, some for deliverance, etc.). Now, the Lion of Judah banner was for made for warfare. The first time round I walked past the Lion of Judah, I felt the prompting to just touch it. And as we marched another round around the room, I came to a halt where the banner was and heard God asking me to bring my goliaths to Him to devour. And that I did. My church mate quietly snapped a picture of me carrying out that action.

I believe by the above action, I am casting the strongholds in my life unto the Lord. By doing that, I am asking God to anoint my testing in life just like the time He anointed David’s testing when He anointed his sling shot. I am going to enter war but not without God’s help! He will deliver me because I have committed my enemies into His hands, in this case mouth! And He has devoured those giants in my life!

You know what? I look forward to that fight and I know I will be victorious because God is on my side! I am aiming for a greater anointing, higher level of authority in God and greater breakthroughs! Woohoo!

Hypocrisy

“Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?” (2 Corinthians 6:14)

I know a great gal who openly declares that she loves God so much that she wishes her life to just end quickly so that she can immediately start spending eternity with Him; that she would rather be alone in this world so that she can stay devoted to God and only God. And she did; she did devote like 5/7th of her time to bible studies, bible school, church and ministering to His people. I wanted that kind of zeal for God too!

Well, a week ago she told me she found her soul mate – a non-believer whose religion persecutes Christianity. Sure, he is not the religious sort – willing to allow his partners to freely practice whatever faith they wish. However, he himself is a staunch believer in his own.

After dating only for a couple of weeks and they are already talking about marriage – what religious practice he would allow or disallow her. And hey, nothing is out of bounds as long as he is not required to convert!

Just in case you are wondering about her eligibility, she is highly eligible – intellectual, has a high flying job, attractive, sociable and has a line of suitors waiting at her doorstep. Before this man, she was deeply upset she had so many lining up for her and, argued for and defended her belief that she had the gift of singlehood. Of course we didn’t agree.

She is now desperately rationalising their relationship to herself, friends and I’m sure to God too. Her conclusion - nothing else matters as long as she is sure of her own salvation. Can one truly be satisfied with his/her own salvation knowing that he/she will never see their life partner in heaven when all things fade away? Is that true love, then?

You know, I was so angry and disappointed in her hypocrisy and actions to the point that I became judgmental, condemning even. And true to God’s nature, he convicted me of my own hypocrisy – my anger and disappointment outweighed my sadness over her actions; and all I did was judge her when I was supposed to be pray and war for her. I was so focused on the speck in her eye that I didn’t see the plank that was forming in my eye (Matthew 7:3)!

I do have her best interest at heart. So, I suppose the next question is: how do I rebuke her in love? She is not one who will listen. Whatever rebuke you can think of, she probably has already thought of a rebuttal. My pastor is right; prayer is the greatest weapon we have right now.

We have to be aware of the devil’s devices (2 Corinthians 2:11) so that he does not succeed in leading us away from God. He manipulates our emotions. Once our own desires start to demand priority, our zeal for God starts to quickly dissipate. Emotions are so powerful that if we do not control them, they control us (Jeremiah 17:9).

We must understand that God’s Word is given to us so as to restrict us from committing actions that will keep us from being our best. When we obey His given Word, we avoid paths that lead to destruction! I encourage all of you (including myself) to obey God’s every commandment. Only good can come out of it!

I pray and hope that I will have good news to share with regards to my friend in subsequent posts.

How Satan Stops Our Prayers

Hi all,

I have been missing again; I have been spending too much time on frivolous things. Will resume blogging when the 2014 starts!

Anyways, would like to share the following account with you guys:

COMBAT IN THE HEAVENLY REALM
by John Mulinde,  Obsteig (Austria) Nov.  2000 Full Version

I want to share with you from a testimony of someone who was saved, someone who had been serving the devil.  And when that man gave his testimony, it so challenged me, I did not want to believe it.  I had to go ten days before the Lord in fasting, asking Him, "Lord, is this true?" And it was at that time the Lord began to teach me what happens in the spiritual realm when we pray.

This man was born after his parents dedicated themselves to lucifer.  When he was still in the womb, they made so many rituals dedicating him to serve lucifer.  When he was four years old, he began to exercise his spiritual power.  And his parents began fearing him.  When he was six years, his father surrendered him to the witches to go and be trained.  And by ten years, he was doing great things in the kingdom of the devil.  He was feared by the normal witches.

He was still a young boy, but he was so terrible in the things he did.  He grew up to be a young man in his twenties with so much bloodshed on his hands.  Killed at will.  He had the ability to go out of his body through transcendental meditation.  And he could levitate.  Sometimes his body would lift off the ground and stay in the air.  And sometimes he could go into a trance, and come out of his body; his body would remain behind, and he would go out into the world, this is called astro-travelling.  And this guy was used by satan to destroy so many churches, to break down so many churches and to destroy so many pastors.

One day, he was assigned to destroy a church that was so full of prayer.  There were so many divisions in this church, and many confusions.  And he began to work on this church.  But at that time, the pastor called a fast for the whole church.  As the church began to fast, there was a lot of repentance and a lot of reconciliation.  And the people came together, and they began to pray for the work of the Lord in their midst.  And they continued interceding and crying to God to have mercy and intervene in their lives.  And as they days went by, this man was coming again and again with demon spirits against this church.  But there was a word of prophecy that came telling the Christians to rise up and to wage warfare against the powers of darkness that were attacking the church.

So one day, this man leaves his body in his room and goes astro-travelling.  He leads a mighty force of demonic spirits against this church.  Now this is his testimony.  His spirit was moving in the air over the church and trying to attack it, but there was a covering of light over the church.  And suddenly, there was an army of angels that attacked them and there was fighting in the air, and all the demons fled, but he was arrested by these angels.
Yes, arrested by the angels! He saw himself being held by about six angels, and they brought him through the roof right before the church altar.  There he was, and the people were praying.  They were deep in prayer in spiritual warfare, binding and breaking and casting out.  The pastor was on the platform leading the prayers and the warfare.  The Spirit of the Lord spoke to the pastor, "The yoke has been broken, and the victim is there before you.  Help him through deliverance." As the pastor opened his eyes, he saw this young man collapsed there.  His body was with him, he was in his body.  The young man says he doesn't know how his body joined him; he had left it in his house.  But there he was in his body, he didn't know how he had entered in except the angel had carried him through the roof.
Now these things are difficult to believe, but the pastor silenced the church and told the church what the Lord had told him and asked the young man, "Who are you?" The young man was trembling as the demons began coming out of him.  So they prayed for deliverance, and afterwards he began to share his life.  This young man has now come to the Lord and is an evangelist, preaching the Gospel.  He is being used by the Lord mightily in setting other people free by deliverance.

One night, I (John Mulinde) went to a dinner.  The sole reason I went is that someone told me about this young man, and I was so curious to see him, and see if his story was true.  So I sat at that dinner and in the evening, this man was given the chance to give his testimony.  He talked about so many things.  Sometimes he cried because of the things he did.  As he finished, he made an appeal.

There were many pastors in that room.  And he said, "I appeal to you, pastors.  Please teach the people how to pray." The people who don't pray, can be taken in anything, in anything by the devil, and there are ways that the enemy exploits their lives and their prayers.  The enemy knows even how to exploit their prayers of those people who don't know how to pray.  "Teach the people how to use the spiritual armor that God provides."

Then he shared how he lead expositions into the air.  He would go with other satanic agents and lots of demon spirits into the air.  It was like a shift, you've got to go and work your shift.  So regularly he had a time he had to go and wage war in the heavenlies.  And he said that in the heavenlies, in the spiritual realm, if the land is covered under the blanket of darkness, that blanket is so thick, it is like a rock.  And it covers the whole area.  And these spirits are able to go on top of this as well as below this blanket.  And from that level, they influence the events on earth.

When the evil spirits and human satanic agents leave their shifts, they go down on earth at the points of covenant, even waters or on the land at the points of covenant for refreshing of their spirit.  And how do they refresh their spirit? By the sacrifices that people give at these altars.  They could be sacrifices in open witchcraft, sacrifices in bloodshed of all types including abortion, including warfare and human sacrifices and animal sacrifices.  They could be sacrifices of sexual immorality where people go into sexual perversions and all kinds of promiscuity.  And that act services the strength of these powers.  And many are the different types of sacrifices.

He said that when satanic agents are up in the heavenly realm, and the Christians begin to pray on earth, the prayers of the Christians appear to them in three forms.  All prayers appear like smoke that is rising up into the heavens.
Some prayers appear like smoke, and it goes drifting along and disappears in the air.  These prayers come from people who have sin in their lives and they are not willing to deal with it.  Their prayers are so weak they are blown away and disappear in the air.
The other type of prayer is also like smoke that rises up until it reaches this rock, but it does not break through the rock.  These are usually people who try to purify themselves, but they lack the faith in what they are doing as they pray.  They usually ignore the other important aspects that are needed when someone prays.

The third type of prayer is like smoke that is filled with fire.  As it rises up, it is so hot that when it reaches the rock, the rock begins to melt like wax.  It pierces the rock and goes through.

Many times, as people begin to pray, their prayers look like the first type, but as they continue praying, their prayers change and become like the second prayer.  And as they continue praying, suddenly it ignites into fire.  And their prayers become so powerful, they pierce through the rock.

Many times evil agents would notice that prayers were changing and coming very close to the state of fire, then these agents would communicate to other spirits on earth and they tell them, "Distract that person from prayer.  Stop them praying.  Pull them out."

Many times Christians yield to these distractions.  They are pressing through, they are repenting, they are allowing the Word to check their spirit up, Faith has been building up.  Their prayers are becoming more focused.  Then the devil sees their prayers are gaining strength and the distractions begin.  Telephones ring.  Sometimes we, in the middle of very, very intense prayer, the telephone rings and you think you can go to answer the phone and then come back and continue praying.  When you come back, you go back to the beginning.  And that's what the devil wants.

Other kinds of distractions come your way, even if it means touching your body and bringing some pain somewhere.  Even if it means making you hungry and you want to go to the kitchen and fix something to eat.  As long as they can get you out of that place, they have defeated you.  And he will say to the pastors, "Teach people.  Set aside some time.  Not for just some casual kind of praying.  They can do that the rest of the day.  Once in a day, they should have a time when they are focusing wholeheartedly on God, nothing distracting them.

And if people persist in this kind of prayer and allow themselves to be inspired in the spirit and keep going and keep going, something happens in the spirit.  The fire touches that rock, and it melts.  And this man said, when the melting begins, it is so hot, no demon spirit can stand it.  No human spirit can stand it.  They all flee.  They all run away.

There comes an opening in the spiritual realm.  And as soon as this comes, all this trouble in prayer stops.  The person who is praying on the ground just feels like prayer is suddenly so smooth, so enjoyable, so powerful and intense.  And I've discovered at that moment, we normally lose conscience of time and other things.  Not that we become disorderly.  God takes care of our time.  But it is like you lay down everything, and you hook up with God.  And this man said that when the prayers go through, from that moment there can be no resistance at all, and the person praying will continue as long as he wants.  There is no resistance that can stop him.

And then he said, after he finishes praying, the hole remains open, and he said that people, when they rise out of their place of prayer, and they walk out, this open hole moves along with them.  They are no longer operating under the blanket.  They are operating under open heavens.  And he said in that state, the devil cannot do what he wants against them.  And the presence of the Lord is like a pillar from heaven resting on their lives.  They are protected, and there is so much power inside that pillar that as they move around, that presence touches other people.  It discerns what the enemy has done in other people.  And as they talk to people and those people are standing with them, they come inside this pillar.  And as long as they stay inside that pillar, all the bondages of the enemy weaken.

So when these people who have this spiritual break-through share Jesus Christ with the sinners, their resistance is low.  It is so easy to bring them through.  When they pray for the sick or pray about things, the presence which is there makes all the difference.  And this man said the devil hates such people.  And it said if there are places where prayer is regularly being prayed through like that, the presence comes upon that place and does not leave.  So even the people who don't know God, when they come into this place suddenly all the bondages are weakened.

And if someone cared to just minister to them patiently and with love, they can easily be pulled through, not by power nor by might but by the Spirit of God, who is present.  And he said, if no one bothers about these people, they come into his presence, they feel convicted, they begin to debate whether to yield or not, but if they are not pulled through, when they walk away from this place, bondages get stronger.  And the devil tries his best not to allow them to come back into such an environment.

You can imagine we were all seated looking at this man.  He was telling us the things he used to do and what he used to see.  Then he told us what they would do to people who have broken through in prayer.  He said they marked such people; they studied such people.  They dug up everything they could find about such people.  So they knew their weaknesses, and when someone overcomes them in prayer and breaks through, they communicate with other spirits and say, "Target him with this and with this and with this.  These are his weaknesses." So when this person walks out of the prayer closet, the spirit of prayer is upon him, the presence is upon him, his spirits are high, the joy of the Lord is his strength.  As he moves the enemy tries to bring those things that can distract him from focusing on the Lord.

If his weakness is in the area of temper, then the enemy is going to cause people to do things which can make him really angry.  And if he is not sensitive to the Holy Spirit, and he allows himself to go into the temper, he takes his eyes off the Lord.  He gets angry, he feels so furious, and after a few minutes later, he wants to put that behind him and move along in the joy of the Lord, but he doesn't feel it anymore.  He tries to feel good again; he doesn't feel any good again.  Why? As he yielded to the temptation, they worked hard to close the door upstairs.  And once they restore the rock, the presence is cut off.  The person does not cease being a child of God.  But that extra anointing that goes on his life, that presence that could do things without his manipulating anything, it's just cut off.  They seek out where the weaknesses are.

If it is in the temptation to sexuality, the enemy will prepare people, events, something that will suddenly draw out that passion to go towards that temptation.  And if that man yields to this temptation and opens up his mind to receive these thoughts, entertains them, when he is through with everything and wants to move again in the anointing, he just discovers it is no longer there.  Maybe you say, "That's not fair." Just remember what the Bible says, "Put on the helmet of salvation.  Put on the breastplate of righteousness." We normally do not see the position, the place of these weapons of warfare.  But remember what Jesus told us to pray towards the end of the Lord's prayer, "Take us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one."

Every time you have a breakthrough in prayer, as you come to the end, remember you are still a weak human being.  Remember you have not yet been perfected.  Ask the Lord, say "Lord, I've enjoyed this time of prayer, but when I walk out into this world, lead me not into temptation.  Don't allow me to walk into the devil's trap.  I know the enemy is setting a trap out there.  I don't know what form it is going to take.  And I know I am still weak in certain areas.  If I am just put in the right place, I will yield to that.  Protect me, Lord.  When you see me turning that corner where the trap is, just cause me to turn to the other side.  Intervene, O Lord.  Don't allow me to move by just my own strength and ability.  Deliver me from the evil one."

God is able to do that.  He is able.  That is why sometimes things happen, all you need to say is, "Thank you, Jesus." That's why Apostle Paul wrote in the book of Thessalonians and said, "Thank God in everything for that is the will of God in Christ for you." Some things are not good.  They are painful, and we wonder why God would allow it.  But if only we knew what He is saving us from, we would thank Him.  When we learn to trust the Lord, we just thank Him in everything.

Beloved, I don't know whether to go deeper because I do not want to start something I cannot finish.  Let me just try to take one step forward.  And this man said that when prayer breaks through like that, the answer will always come.  He said he does not know a case where prayer broke through and the answer did not come.  He said the answer always came, but in most cases, it would never get to the person who asked.  Why? Battle in the heavenlies.  He says as long as they succeed in cutting off the open heavens and the rock is restored, they watch this person, they are waiting because they know the answer is definitely coming.

And then this man spoke something that really shook my faith.  It is because of the next part he shared that I went into fasting ten days to say, Lord, is this true? Can you prove it to me? This man said that every Christian has got an angel serving that Christian.  Now we know the Bible says angels are ministering spirits to us.  He said that when people pray, the answer comes in the hands of the angel.  The angel brings the answer like we can read it in the book of Daniel.  Then he said something really tough; if the one who prays knows the spiritual armors and is clothed with them, the answer comes by an angel who is also clothed in full armor.

If the one who prays doesn't care about spiritual armory, their angels come without spiritual armor.  Christians who don't care about what kind of thoughts come into their minds.  They don't fight the battle of their minds.  Their angels come without the helmet.  Whatever spiritual weapon you ignore on earth, the angel doesn't have it as he serves you.  In other words, our spiritual armor is not protecting our physical bodies; it's protecting our spiritual exploits.

This man said, when the angel is coming, they would focus and look at him and notice the areas which are not covered, and those are the areas they would attack.  If he has no helmet, they would shoot at his head.  If he has no breastplate, they would shoot at his chest.  If he has no shoes, they would make a fire that he is walking in the fire.  Now I am just repeating what this man said.  Actually, we asked him, "Can angels feel fire?" And you know what he said to us? Remember this is a spiritual realm.  These are spirits dealing with spirits.  The battle is intensive, and when they overpower an angel of God, the first thing they target is the answer he is carrying, and they get that from him, that is what they give through the cults, the witchcraft, and people say, "I got this because of witchcraft."
Remember what the Bible says in the book of James? All good things come from God.  So where does the devil get the things he gives to his people? Some people who cannot have children, they go to witch doctors and satanists, and they get pregnant! Who gave them that baby? Is satan a creator? NO! He steals from those who don't pray to the end.  Jesus said, "Pray without ceasing." And then He said, "But when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith?" Will He find you still there waiting? Or will you have given up and the enemy would steal what you have prayed for?

Then this man said that they are not satisfied with just stealing the answer.  They are also interested in detaining the angel.  And they start fighting him.  And he said sometimes they succeed in holding and binding the angel.  And he says, when that happens, the Christian is a victim on earth.  They can do anything with that Christian because he is totally left without ministry in the Spirit.

I said to him, "Do you mean an angel can be held in captivity by demonic forces?" This man did not even know the scriptures by the time he was saying all this.  He did not know very many scriptures.  He was just sharing his experiences.  And he said, they wouldn't hold the angel too long because as other Christians prayed elsewhere, reinforcement would come, and the angels would go free.  If the Christian responsible did not pray through, he remains a captive.  Then the enemy sends his own angel as an angel of light to this person, and that is where the deceptions come in.  False visions and false prophecies.  False leadership, I mean leading, guidance in the spirit, making wrong decisions of all types.  And many times this person is open to all kinds of attack and bondages.

And I asked the Lord.  I left that dinner so troubled, so troubled.  I said, "Lord, I don't want even to try and believe this." It removes all my confidence, my security.  When I went to seek the Lord, it was ten days, the Lord did two things.  He did not only confirm the things I had heard, he opened my mind to see a lot more that this man could not tell us of what happens in the spiritual realm.  And two, he led me to see what we are supposed to do as the things are happening so that we are not overcome but that we can overcome.  And we need to know three things and really come to terms with these three things.

One: how to operate with the weapons of our warfare.  The Bible calls them the armor of God.  It is not our armor; it is God's armor.  When we use it, we allow God to fight on our behalf.  Two: understand the relationship of the ministering spirits-the angels-to our spiritual lives.  And to be sensitive to what is happening in our hearts as a leading to what needs to be happening in the spirit concerning us.  That brings us to the third thing: that is the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is not supposed to come as our servant, serving us and bringing things to us.  He does not run to and fro to the Father to tell Him what we need.  That is the work of angels.  But He stands by our side.  Doing what? Guiding us, teaching us, leading us, helping us to pray the right way.  And when these things are happening in the spiritual realm, He tells us, sometimes He wakes you up in the night and says, "Pray." You say, "No! My time is not yet come." And He says, "Pray now!" Why? He sees what is happening in the spirit.  Sometimes He says, "Tomorrow-fasting!" You say, "Oh, no, I'll start on Monday!"

But He understands what is happening in the spiritual realm.  We should learn to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit.  He guides us in the paths of righteousness.  Beloved we've got to stop here.  Maybe tomorrow morning, we can talk about how we can pray through, knowing the battles in the spirit and how we can break through.  How we can maintain our breakthrough once we have scored it.  And once we learn this, it becomes enjoyable.  Then we learn one thing: the battle is not ours; the battle is of the Lord! Hallelujah!

Let's just stand up.  Look someone in the eye, and just think about how many times that person could have missed what God had for him.  But join your hands if you can, two or three people, and just tell each other, "There's no need for more defeat! We can overcome! There is enough power to overcome! Jesus has already done the whole work." Pray for each other that the Lord will help us to overcome.  We should not lose.  There is enough grace, enough power for victory.

Thank you, Jesus.
